Everything you need to know about how Code Red Sourcing works.

Process

You submit an RFQ with your part details. Our team reviews it, searches our supplier network, and sends you a quote — usually within the same day for critical requests. Once you approve, we order, verify, and ship directly to you.

You receive a confirmation email with a unique RFQ ID. Your request enters our system as RECEIVED, and our team begins reviewing it. You can track every stage in real time on the Order Status page.

When you submit a request, our AI reads the form, creates a clean brief, flags any missing information, and drafts a reply email for our team to review and approve. Nothing is sent to you without a human looking at it first.

No. You can submit an RFQ without an account. After your first request is processed, we can set up a customer portal account so you can track all your orders in one place.

Parts & Sourcing

No. We source new factory-sealed, refurbished, and quality-tested used parts depending on availability and your condition requirement. All conditions are disclosed clearly before you commit — we never misrepresent part condition.

We'll tell you — and if there are alternate candidates, we'll present them clearly labeled as candidates, not confirmed replacements. Compatible substitutes are your decision, not ours. We never recommend an alternate as fact.

Industrial automation components: PLCs, HMIs, servo drives and motors, variable frequency drives, I/O modules, power supplies, industrial networking equipment, and sensors. We focus especially on obsolete, discontinued, and hard-to-find components.

Yes. We can arrange international freight on critical requests. Note that certain industrial automation components may be subject to export compliance requirements on your end — we recommend verifying this for controlled items.

Timing & Urgency

Critical requests get same-day attention — we work it immediately. Urgent requests (machine failing, 24–48 hour window) typically get a response within 1 business day. Standard requests get a response within 1–2 business days.

Critical: your line is down right now. Every hour costs money — call us directly. Urgent: the machine is running but a part has failed or is failing; you have 24–48 hours. Standard: planned replacement, stock replenishment, or a hard-to-find part that's not time-critical today.

Tracking & Orders

When you submit an RFQ, you receive a unique RFQ ID. Enter it on the Order Status page to see your request's live stage — from Received through Delivered. Every time your order moves to a new stage, the tracker updates.

Yes, through your customer portal account. Log in at the Account page to see all your past and active requests, download approved proposals, and track any open orders.

We accept all major credit and debit cards via Stripe. For large orders or net terms, contact us directly to arrange an invoice-based payment.
